Where is this weeks Podcast?

So some of you may be wondering what has happened to this weeks podcast. Well, this is going to be the first week since we started where we are not able to release a new episode due to technical difficulties. It happens to the best of podcasters at one point or another, and in this case it has happened to this team of mediocre podcasters.

We did manage to record the bumper two hour episode yesterday on the subject of the new seasons best and worst shows as planned. But due to technical issues, the audio from Chris’s end was simply unusable. We tried to clean the audio up, we tried to turn Chris’s track down to make it less noticeable and in one brief and insane moment I even contemplated putting my half of the conversation up and renaming it ‘Nothing But Dan’.

But there was truly nothing for it, the episode was entirely lost.

Normally this sort of thing would not be a big problem, we would simply record the episode again and upload it a day or so late. But typically this has happened at the worst possible time as production ramps up on our new web series ‘Writing Space’ (Which you can read more about here) and we simply don’t have time to re-record this episode in the next couple of days.

But with that said we do have every intention of recording the episode again next weekend while rehearsals for Writing Space are underway and releasing it the day before production begins, Sunday the 3rd of November. It’s extra work we could do without on the eve of such a busy week, but we have had such a consistent run of episodes it would be a shame to drop the ball here.

So we should have a brand new episode ready for your consumption this time next week. And to make up for the extended absence, the episode following this lost one will go up as originally scheduled only one week later! That’s right, two episodes in two weeks you lucky dogs!

In the meantime why not entertain yourselves by checking out our 32 episode strong back catalogue? That can be found here.
